Danie
Leigh
The DanieGirl Project is a compilation of original work
by Danie Leigh, encompassing multiple genres of music, from
blues and country to jazz and pop. Sincere and spirited, this
album is Danies first solo release.
Danie is an accomplished vocalist, composer and pianist. A native
of the great Pacific Northwest, she has studied with a slew
of stellar local musicians and composers including; Janice Giteck,
Dawn Clement, James Knapp, and Kelly Harland. Several of Danies
compositions have
been premiered by Seattles most reputable ensembles including
the Esoterics, headed by Eric Banks, and the St. Helens
String Quartet.
Danie has performed as a vocalist in a variety of ensembles
such as the Cornish Latin
Jazz Ensemble conducted by Jovino Santos-Neto(grammy nominee
2006), Stack and the Pack Blues Review, and Blue Moon Daughter.
Danie Leigh holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from Cornish
College of the Arts.
